Haris Ahmed, Chicago: About
Haris Ahmed owns Chicago-based management consulting firm, Pragmatium Consulting, Inc. The primary focus of the company is to provide assistance to organizational leaders to identify factors that affect an organization’s performance and subsequently develop a program to address these factors. With over 20 years of solid experience as an organizational change expert and 10 years as an executive coach, Haris Ahmed has the background and expertise to provide high-level assistance to organizations from various industries, both private and public, for-profit and non-profit.
Acknowledging that he needed to have the right educational background to give him the right foundation for the career he chose to take, Haris Ahmed of Chicago went to university to get his formal education. He completed his BA in Economics with a minor in Politics at New York University before proceeding to get his MBA on strategy and leadership at the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza College of Business. He completed his MBA with honors, graduating cum laude.
Armed with the knowledge he has learned at university, Haris wasted no time in finding a job that will give him the experience that he needed to get his career off the ground. His work experiences include the following:
- Principal with Delta Organization and Leadership Consulting (a practice of Oliver Wyman) from September 2007 to July 2009
- Senior Consultant for Hewitt Associates from January 2005 to September 2007
- Senior Consultant for Watson Wyatt Worldwide from 2000 to 2005
- Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers from June 1995 to December 1999
- Group Underwriter for Aetna Health Plans from 1990 to 1995
Throughout his years working for different companies, Haris learned the importance of having a good leader to oversee the performance of organizations and address concerns, whether among members of the team or internal processes that affect performance, as soon as they appear. Leaders provide structure to the organization and motivate the team to reach their full potential. They also know when it’s time to adapt to changes in practices or innovations in their industry.
With that said, Haris Ahmed founded his Chicago-based management consulting firm to share his knowledge and expertise to organizations that need assistance. He believes that through his firm Pragmatium Consulting, Inc., he is able to reach a lot more leaders and their organizations, and in so doing, help more companies improve on performance and operations, and ultimately increase their business.
What this site is all about
This site will primarily focus on leadership and the importance of adapting to changing times. An organization that refuses to adapt—despite all factors indicating that failing to do so could have serious repercussions on the company—might soon face the inevitable: being surpassed by competitors who were once lagging behind them.
In order to reach a wider audience, Haris Ahmed created this site. His main reason for doing so is he wants to see businesses succeed, and he believes that it all starts with having a structured organization with a good leader at the forefront.
